Donations of Books and Other Materials
Due to our limited space, the Library is not currently able to accept donations of books or other materials.
Commemorative Donations
If you would like to honor someone special, consider making a donation to the Library in their name. Gifts may be commemorated in several meaningful ways, including a bookplate placed in a Library item (contact the Library directly for more information) or a commemorative brick or bench (coordinated through the Friends of the Library). Each option offers a lasting way to recognize your loved one while supporting the Library.
Friends of the Lake Bluff Library
Donations to support the Library are accepted through the Friends of the Lake Bluff Library, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Friends primarily provide funding for furnishings, equipment, and programming to enhance the Library’s services and resources.
Tax Deductions
Donations to the Library are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Library can provide a letter acknowledging donations of physical materials.
